Walk dogs and cycle everywhere...

That's what we do and this is the countryside for it!

Milly with Golly - the most engaging dog you will ever meet!

We are lucky to be in some of the best dog walking country in the south.

There are footpaths all over this lovely village and stunning walks straight out of the front door and across the New Forest. It would be a crying shame not to bring your best friend to share it with!

Doggie rules of the house

No dogs on the beds or furniture. Mud is easy to remove - dog hair is not!!

I can provide a dog cage (for a medium-sized dog), or you can bring your own.

No dogs to be left unattended in the cabin or garden AT ANY TIME. When you go out for the day please take them with you.
We can provide old towels to clean and dry off your dog after a walk - please ask. There is a hose in the garden to wash them off. We are happy to dry damp clothes and towels on the Aga overnight - please  ask.
Please use the spade or trowel outside the door to chuck poo into the flower beds. Please do not use plastic bags. On local walks just flick poos into the hedge.
If your dog has an 'accident' in the cottage, please let me know ASAP and do not try and clean it up yourself.
Please keep your dog on a lead around the animals - particularly our (much loved) chickens and cats!

From the coast to The Cranborne Chase and The New Forest this is fantastic cycling country and we do a lot ourselves.

You can securely lock up your bikes in our workshop and use it for repairs and maintenance.
